Our Ramona Lady Bulldogs won big tonight against Fallbrook with the assistance of a great home crowd cheering them to victory. The energy coming from the stands transferred into our ladies and powered them to the win. The Bulldogs were led by Elexis Espina with 16 points and 6 assists, Julia Plantz with a double-double adding 13 points and 14 rebounds, Hannah Nowakowski put up 11 points and 2 steals, and Ally Luna scored 10 points and had 3 assists. Other key contributors were Kim Reckling with 6 points and 8 rebounds, Toni Dominguez scored 4 points and had 4 deflections, and Jessica VanTol had a free throw and 3 steals.

Our Lady Bulldogs had a great start to the game this evening scoring 13 points in the first quarter while holding the Warriors to only 8 points. Julia scored 2 buckets, Ally put up a 3 pointer and a basket, while Elexis and Kim each scored a bucket. During the second quarter, Ramona pushed ahead scoring 18 points while still holding Fallbrook to 8 points for the quarter. Julia added 2 more buckets, Elexis hit a long 3 pointer, a bucket and a pair of free throws, Hannah added a 3 pointer, while Kim and Ally each scored a basket. The Warriors came out hard in the third quarter scoring 10 quick points and narrowing the Lady Bulldog lead to 33-26. Ramona battled back scoring 10 total points for the quarter with 2 buckets from Julia, Hannah added a bucket and a free throw, Toni got a basket, and Jessica scored a free throw. After 3 quarters, the score was 41-30. Our Lady Bulldogs kicked into high gear for the fourth quarter scoring 20 points while holding the Warriors to 13. Elexis scored 3 buckets and a free throw, Hannah put up a bucket and 3 free throws, Ally got a bucket and a free throw, Toni and Kim scored a bucket each, and Julia had a free throw.

Ramona bid a fond farewell to our seniors tonight; Kim, Ally, and Hannah. Each of these young ladies has contributed so much to the team this year both in their guidance and leadership. While they will continue to play to finish up the season and playoffs, this was their last home conference game. Thank you again ladies for honoring us with your presence on the court!

Our Lady Bulldogs are now 11-9 for the season and 5-2 in conference play. Ramona faces Valley Center next Friday, February 16th at 5:30 PM, the boys will play after at 7:00 PM. Head on out to Valley Center to cheer on our Bulldogs as they battle the Jaguars in the last conference game of the season!
