Ramona High School did not have to look far for a replacement when our only Girls LaCrosse coach in the history of the sport at Ramona High retired this past June. Jim Bliss our former English teacher and coach started the program over 10 years ago. Jim and his assistants worked hard to build the sport on our campus. The numbers of girl participants has risen and the sport is currently thriving on our campus. Today we are pleased and happy to announce that Kiersten South, one of our High School Math teachers has been chosen to be our next Head Coach. Kiersten has been an assistant on staff the past few years and has a great LaCrosse background being from the East Coast. Kiersten played all 4 years in High School and spent one year in College LaCrosse at Penn State University where she earned her Mathematics degree. Kiersten is excited to begin and has fellow assistant and RHS teacher Corey Manring on her staff to help in the process.
Ramona High School could not be happier that Kiersten is an on campus coach which is so important for our Student Athletes. Look for the girls to start in March for the 2021 season.
