The 2018/19 Ramona High Song Team is a very young team compared to the other High schools that attended this year’s national competition. Ramona was up against some very talented teams, however our Ramona Girls proved that they have the talent to perform with the Nations very best. The event took place in Florida this past weekend.
Game Day was a new category of routine for High School Nationals. This routine incorporated 3 minutes of High School Spirit Song, Fight Song and Dance. Ramona placed in the Top 5 & Received 5th place out of 18 teams!
In the Small Varsity Pom Division – Which requires high usage of Pom motions and innovative visual effects in performing this routine. Ramona finished in the top 10 – Received 8th place out of 34 teams.
Team Performance – combined technical skills in Jazz, Pom, Kick and Hip hop. Ramona placed in the Top 5 – received 3rd place out of 18 teams.
Ramona also received the innovative Choreography award for this routine (Kudos to Coach Shannah James)
At the end of the long weekend, Ramona received The Sportsmanship Award – This was presented to the team with the best display of Sportsmanship throughout the weekend.
