Ramona brought 4 freshman and a few sophomores with little varsity experience. Overall the performances of the wrestlers was awesome “said Head Coach Tyson Knierim”
The biggest story of the day was Jeff Ramsthaler winning the tournament without getting a point scored on him. He easily beat the #4 ranked wrestler in the county. He’s currently ranked #10 in the state and is working hard to end the season on the state podium.
Also, Andrew Martin had a great tournament. He was ranked 13th out of 14 wrestlers. He beat the #2 and #4 wrestlers on his way to the 3rd place match. He was unable to wrestle that match due to the “5 match rule”, but based off how he had been wrestling that day he would have been very competitive.
Masters is next week at San Marcos High School 2/15 and 2/16.
*Five (5)  Ramona Wrestlers qualified for Masters.
(Martin, Ramsthaler, Megna, Holabird, and Diaz).
